Quantora EA
The MetaTrader 4 edition of Quantora EA — Gold & Indices
This is the MetaTrader 4 build of Quantora EA, running the same underlying strategy as the MT5 edition on the same live account: hands-off automation on Gold and major Indices, with grid spacing that adapts to each instrument's own volatility rather than a fixed setting.
It exists because a lot of Gold traders are still on MT4 — many brokers, especially in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, only offer Gold and index CFDs on MT4, and plenty of established traders simply don't want to migrate a working setup. Rather than force a platform switch, the strategy was ported to MQL4 so those accounts get the same logic without a compromise.
What is different on MT4: the build is written in MQL4 (no MT5 netting or hedging-mode dependency — MT4 is hedging-only, which the basket logic is built around), it is lighter on a small VPS, and the Strategy Tester is single-symbol, so backtests are run per instrument. The inputs, dashboard and risk controls mirror the MT5 edition one-to-one, so a set file tuned on one platform carries across with the same names.
If you have a choice of platforms, the MT5 edition is the primary build and the one the live Myfxbook account runs; pick MT4 when your broker or your existing account leaves you there.

Key Features
- No manual intervention needed — entries, management, and exits all run automatically
- Grid step size scales with each instrument's own recent volatility instead of a fixed distance
- Entries filtered by RSI and price-range conditions to skip low-quality setups
- Per-grid-level position management — fixed take-profit or individual trailing, your choice
- Grid extension for deeper moves stays within configurable, controlled limits
- Lot sizing progression is switchable between linear and exponential
- On-chart dashboard shows live balance, P&L, and performance stats in real time
Risk & Requirements
- Exits the whole basket at a structured, rule-based profit target rather than per-trade
- Basket-level drawdown protection, settable in fixed $ or % of balance
- Built-in spread and timing checks to skip entries during poor market conditions
- Historically a higher-drawdown strategy than Quantora Robots' stock-focused systems (see the live stats above) — size positions with that in mind
